Building Business Credit the Smart Way
By · CommentsOne of the main reasons that many wanna-be small business owners fail to even get their business off the ground is the lack of funds to initiate their business plan. Some have the money, yet the amount is well short of enduring the difficult times that often make many small business owners fail within the first 2-4 years.
A smart way to starting your own business is to create a business plan and present it to your local lender or bank. You can bring a plan to show what you are going to use the capital for in your small business and show the bank how you plan to make your business profitable.
By doing this, a bank or lender may feel more secure in how you plan to execute blueprints for success especially since you will be using their money. Don’t be discouraged if the amount isn’t what you expect it to be. You simply need a small line of credit to start, and then you can build from there.
It may be a bit overwhelming at first since creating a business plan takes some planning and thought, but this is exactly what your small business lender wants to see. Even if your starting line of credit is $1000 dollars, by putting it on paper and showing how you plan to execute that plan will add volume and credibility to how you plan to become successful.
Some things to consider when you are building your small business credit score. Many creditors will actual sell off your credit score based on how well your small business has performed on loans that was made to it already.
There are also times that your personal credit may fall into this research if you decide to guarantee a loan at the request of the lender to ensure you get the funds that is needed to secure the loan.
For this reason, you should always separate your personal credit with your small business credit history and score. Also note that the credit protection laws that are in place within the United States, do not apply to business credit laws and regulations.
In fact, business credit laws are less protective and are sometimes exploited by other would be creditors that business may come in contact with at one point or another. Because of this, you want to make sure you follow this 3 point plan to credit a positive image for your small business.
while you make business loans throughout your businesses lifetime.
Here they are:
1. Don’t Rule Out Using Collateral to Secure Your First Loans
Let’s be real now. There aren’t going to be many lenders willing to lend you money if you are a startup business. Why? It is a known statistic that over 90% of small business that start, fail in the first 2-4 years.
Put yourself in their shoes. Would you lend your money to someone like that if you had no idea how well they could repay your money? I think we know the answer to that. Be proactive and maybe offer $500-$1000 dollars to secure a loan or a business credit card in the same amount just to show good faith on your part.
By doing this, you automatically show the lender that you are serious, and you take out the risk to their money which makes it a lot easier for them to lend to you. If you put up a $1000, offer to only borrow $700.
By you offering this, the bank automatically makes 30% on their money, with virtually no risk since you are securitizing the loan with your own money. I know what you are thinking, “why do I want to put my money and pay them interest, if it’s my own money?”
Think about it. Let’s say you pay back the $700 dollars, plus the $300 in interests, they will more than likely offer you a greater line of credit without having to put up the collateral for the next loan.
It’s all about relationships and it goes both ways when you want money from lenders. Be smart and proactive and do not rule this method out when seeking your first business loan from a lender or bank.
2. Now That You Got Your First Business Loan, Pay It Back On-time
Wait a minute, you say! I pay back my money and pay them 30% for lending money that is mine anyway, and now you want me to pay it back on time too! I promise you that doing so in the long run, will secure you more business loans than you can ever want, but you first have to show the lender that you are serious and that you can borrow responsibly.
The key is later down the line. If you are thinking long term for your business, than this shouldn’t even be a problem. Paying back the loan on-time is something that you should already expect. That’s the whole idea by building good business credit.
In fact, when you make your payments back, ask to speak to the loan officer that you dealt with when you first got the loan. Make the payment directly to him and show him that you take borrowing money from them seriously.
Your banker will appreciate your willingness to pay the loan back on-time and will remember that in the future when larger loan amounts without collateral is taken into consideration.
3. Create an Effective Business Plan
Let’s be honest here, you want them not the other way around. The lender knows what you want and will certainly play hard to get. You’re going to have to convince him/her that your business will be profitable and how you explain how your business is going to be profitable will go a long way to showing that banker how smartly you plan to run your business.
Be specific, organized and detailed and your banker will have no choice but to give you the money especially if you are offering them free money to make! I know you’ve heard about free grants, small business loans and even loans for minorities.
If you can get it than, fantastic. But remember that few banks will want to lend to a business to start off as the numbers do not point in their favor. Knowing that, show the bank that you mean business and you are willing to even offering the bank free money in order to establish your business credit.
Once you’ve obtained a track record for repaying on one loan, little by little, more and more business credit doors will open up to you. You’ll also have a sense of pride by obtaining your business credit in a fashion that few know anything about.
Many would-be small business owners simply quit if they do not get start up money from a lender. If this was the case, we would be nowhere close to what we are as a Country. Be smart, be innovative and by all means show that you have the creativity to secure business loans by doing it the old fashion way…by earning it!

Business Credit In Plain English
By · Comments
Business credit is so you can get products or services based on credit to pay on a later date. Business credit also refers to the ability of a business to get a loan, money, or cash for your business.
Business credit allows you to borrow against the assets of your business instead of your personal account. This is a smart thing to do especially when you are just starting out your business so you can have a little cushion and help you with your startup cost or the expenses that you need.
Also it is a good business practice to separate your personal account from your business account this way you can be organized with all your business expenses. Meaning when you purchase something using your business credit it should be for commercial purposes.
Business credit also allows you to get a loan, buy office furniture, supplies, or to fund special projects for your business and so on… To get a business credit you need to apply and file a complete credit application to various creditors.
Every creditor have their own application and process for giving or approving your company with business credit. Again this is totally different from your personal account or credit. But there’s a similar process like for instance if you pay your credit on time then they reward you for that by giving you more credit or increase your credit line.
Some creditors require collateral or hold the business owner responsible for the debt of the business. Please consult with your lawyer with this to get a better understanding and get advice.
In the coming days I will talk more about this or invite someone that knows the inside out of the “Business Credit.” I understand that this is very important for your business so I will make sure to cover this in more detail in the future.

Best Business Opportunity That’s Right for You!
By · CommentsWell you probably know that there’s plenty of business opportunities out there, but how do you know what is the best one or the right one for you? Many people get in to business opportunities and fail because they don’t know anything about the business and don’t understand it.
You need to understand when getting into a business whatever it is there will be leg work involved on your part and don’t be fooled by the promise that you only need to do this or that and then the money will pour in.
There’s a couple of things to consider when deciding which business opportunity is for you. First you have to love it! Whatever that opportunity is if it’s a Gift Basket business you should have related experience with making gift baskets.
Business is fun when you like it and have passion for whatever it is. This way you don’t feel like its work but rather it’s something you enjoy doing. Many business opportunities will promise you that you will make a great income and it’s easy to do.
Yeah, it might look good but you should do your own research about the business and what’s involved in running it. You can also check with your local Chamber of Commerce for more information.
But really one key to business success is to love what you’re doing and have a passion about the business. Have you heard the old saying “Do What You Love And The Money Will Follow” for me this make sense,
Like what I said earlier if you love what you do it does not feel work but you feel like you’re having fun and you’ll be willing to do more! second is to find out how big you want your business to be.
This is very important because some businesses can grow very fast and it might be overwhelming. Now you need to hire additional employees and buy more equipment and so on…
Well of course this is just an example. If you don’t want to get into big business it might be best not to go with a franchise business opportunity like opening a McDonald’s or Subway.
Plus the expenses would be enormous and the responsibilities as a business owner would be burdensome so you really need to ask yourself before getting in to big business if that’s really the route you want to take.
Now if you want to work smart and don’t want to have lots of over head well consider a business opportunity that would allow you to work from home or in your spare bedroom.
Many business opportunities you can do from the comfort of your own home but you have to be careful with all the scammers as well so make sure you do your own research on this.
There’s many advantages when working from home like you don’t have to commute, you don’t have any deadlines to meet, no angry boss to scream at you, and you always get to see your kids and family!
I don’t know about you but working from the comfort of your own home is great! Well if this is something you’re looking for well check out our Product and Services page here! Or simply click the image below!
I promise you that our business opportunities are 100% scam free we’re members of the Better Business Bureau with a good standing for 17 years! Well I hope this will help you with your journey into entrepreneurship!

Starting Your Business Checklist
By · CommentsWrite a Business Plan: When starting your own business you need to write a business plan even if you only have a small business. Strategic business planning is very important to see the strengths and weaknesses of your business.
You also need to have a clear vision and understanding of your business; like setting your business mission, ideas, goals and objectives. This doesn’t have to be complicated the more simple the better it just needs to be realistic about where you want your business to be a few years from now.
Choose A Business Entity: You need to choose an entity type for your business and see what your options are, either sole proprietorship, general partnership, limited partnership or LLC.
First I want you to know that you need to consult with your lawyer about this, I’m not a lawyer so I can’t give you legal advice but you will need a business entity for your business to protect yourself and your assets.
Business Funding: You need to assess the source of your capital for your business. Is this going to be out of your pocket or will you be applying for a business loan or some kind of business grant? This very important to know so you know where your business stands.
Marketing Strategy: Now this is very important because you can have the best products and services in the whole wide world if you don’t have a clear and powerful marketing strategy then your business is not going to work, period. You need to have a clear vision on how you will execute this either in offline or online marketing.
Web Presence: We’re in the cyber era and if you’re not utilizing the power of the internet to expose your business in the global market then you’re leaving tons of money on the table.
You need to have a web presence so either a static website or a blog, I would recommend you use a blog as a main platform for your business because of the interactive nature of it. This way you can build a relationship with your market.
